Inside Broadway
PS 69Q was excited to welcome our arts partner Inside Broadway‘s professional musical presentation Sophisticated Ladies on Thursday, February 2, 2023. This program was brought to us through the New York City Council CASA grant program. We’re so thankful that our local Councilmember Krishnan helped bring these programs to our students and knows how important the arts are to the students at PS 69Q! The students learned about Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and the great music of the Harlem Renaissance. Our Grade 4 and 5 students in the CASA afterschool program will be presenting their own musical performance on Wednesday, February 8 at PS 69Q. We can’t wait to see them bring the music of Broadway to PS 69!

PS 69Q was thrilled to welcome the ballet dancers from Graham 2 for a lecture/demonstration performance last Thursday January 19, 2023. Our students were in awe of the amazing body control and athletic ability of the dancers that came from many different states and countries. We are so thankful that the dancers came to share their talents and love of dance with the students of PS 69Q.
PS 69Q students sharing the stage today with our visiting performers from The Quintet of the Americas. Our students learned about some musical instruments and music from The Americas, the 2021-22 PS 69Q magnet theme.
